Since Strecker’s discovery of multicomponent reactions (MCRs) in 1850, the strategy applying an MCR approach has been use for over a century. Due to their ability quickly develop molecular diversity and structural complexity interest, MCRs are considered efficient organic synthesis. Although such as Ugi, Passerini, Biginelli, Hantzsch widely studied, this review emphasizes significance selective elegantly produce compounds potential medicinal chemistry industrial material science applications, well sustainable methods. During synthesis, provide advantages atom economy, recyclable catalysts, moderate conditions, preventing waste, avoiding solvent use. also reduce number sequential multiple one step.

Abstract Several series of novel biheterocyclic compounds have been synthesized starting from 3‐alkoxy‐1 H ‐pyrazole‐4‐carbaldehydes and employing different types multicomponent reactions. The structures the obtained 4‐(pyrazol‐4‐yl)pyrano[2,3‐ c ]pyrazole, 4‐(pyrazol‐4‐yl)pyrazolo[4′,3′:5,6]pyrano[2,3‐ b ]quinoline, 4‐(pyrazol‐4‐yl)pyridine, 4‐[(pyrazol‐4‐yl)methylidene]‐1,2‐oxazole derivatives were thoroughly characterized confirmed using detailed nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy (NMR), high‐resolution mass spectrometry (HRMS), infrared (IR), X‐ray analysis.

While electrocatalyzed alkyne annulations of arenes represent a powerful strategy for the assembly heteroaromatic motives, electrochemical C(sp2)-H activations alkenes remain scarce. Herein, rhodaelectro-catalyzed functionalization enamides is presented efficient construction pyrroles using electricity as sustainable oxidant. Moreover, tuning solvent system allowed fascinating switch in chemoselectivity, which not possible with traditionally used chemical oxidants, giving rise to lactone architectures. The rhoda-electrocatalysis features broad scope well high regio- and chemoselectivities.
