Flash floods are a concerning social issue that affect urban areas all over the world. can disrupt vital services, damage infrastructure, have socio-economic impacts on earth’s surface, and significantly impact community near water body. Household commercial damage, physical health issues from contaminated floodwater, mental including post-traumatic stress disorder, even fatalities some of these common effects. Additionally, it is anticipated climate change, continuous population growth, urbanisation will increase flood events risk exposure. Nature-based solutions (NbS) for management lower risks include sustainable, economical methods improve biodiversity, ecosystem resilience, well-being. This in-depth study analyses research literature previous researchers conducted related to around ASEAN countries, as countries closely located share similarities in temperature. survey focuses identifying most suitable effective NbS overcome problem appropriate non-structural measures support solving Malaysia. provide multi-benefit approach by improving cutting costs, offering co-benefits, biodiversity conservation better quality, contrast conventional put infrastructure before environmental sustainability. also looks at weaknesses existing system provides recommendations problems. this offers practical policy suggestions help incorporate into regional national control frameworks, guaranteeing not only socially just but ecologically sound.
