Abstract The digital economy is an essential engine of the innovation-driven development strategy and plays a valuable role in promoting high-quality regional economy. Based on panel data 286 cities mainland China with help strategic plans issued by local governments as quasi-natural experiment, we use multi-temporal double-difference (DID) method to examine impact urban innovation level. Findings show that can significantly improve After series robustness tests, such parallel trend test, updating sample period, repeated placebo innovation-driving effect generated remains significant. Results mechanism analysis indicate enhances level through upgrading industrial structures. In addition, find heterogeneity test has stronger improving quality innovation. Meanwhile, output Middle Eastern region more affected “Digital China” than Western region. Therefore, should accelerate implementation realize

Green digital finance plays a crucial role in driving green production, consumption and facilitating the low-carbon transition of energy structures. This paper delves into impact on this transformation from multidimensional perspective for first time. The study reveals that developing effectively elevates level carbon reduction Both industrial restructuring innovation green, technologies play significant conduit roles advancing structures through finance, with mutually reinforcing relationship between them. Formal environmental regulations act as positive regulators, influencing strategic choices entities technology innovation. exhibits heterogeneous effects due to factors such geographical location, financial regulatory intensity, informal regulations, marketization, resource endowment. conclusions hold substantial significance practical reference value China's ongoing efforts advance construction new system high-quality development.

This paper measures the coupling coordination development level between digital finance and green in Chinese provinces investigates their carbon emission reduction effects. The study reveals that has a significant effect, displaying an inverted "U" shape with marginal effect first increases then decreases. There are substantial differences moderating effects of formal environmental regulation informal regulation. Furthermore, central western regions, areas higher financial regulatory intensity, non-resource-based provinces, is more pronounced.

Abstract Promoting low-carbon agricultural development is essential for achieving carbon neutrality and peak emission goals. The emergence of digital inclusive finance has opened a new pathway to reduce emissions. This study uses data from various provinces in China 2011 2021 explore the impact on emissions its mechanism action. results show that during period, first increased then decreased, with gap between eastern western regions narrowing, while southern northern widened. Digital an inverted “U-shaped” nonlinear emissions, depth use degree digitization being key factors. Agricultural only begin be effectively suppressed when scale exceeds value. Additionally, green cooperatives weakens reduction effect finance, indicating decoupling their developments, accumulation human capital enhances effect. Based this, government advised continue promoting strategies inclusivity rural areas. Financial institutions should develop financial products suitable cooperatives, also provide timely feedback communication achieve coordinated two. Furthermore, education training farmers strengthened encourage them learn adopt technologies.
