Smart home assistants (SHAs) have gained a foothold in many households. Although SHAs beneficial capabilities, they also characteristics that are colloquially described as creepy – fact may deter potential users from adopting and utilizing them. Previous research has examined neither the perspective of resistance nor creepiness. The present addresses this gap adopts multi-method design with four sequential studies. An uncertain and complex economic environment requires companies to act quickly reinvent their business strategies. Innovation has emerged as a strategic imperative adapt market changes remain competitive, while resilience gained attention essential for organizations respond successfully external environmental pressures. Despite these factors' importance in unstable environments, little empirical research analyzed them. Drawing on dynamic capabilities' theory, our study examines the role of service innovation organizational enhancing performance using sequential two-stage mixed-methods approach. To cope with the digital transition exacerbated by COVID-19 pandemic, managers of manufacturing small and medium enterprises (SMEs) need to adopt innovative practices face uncertain scenarios create long-term value, identified as transformational entrepreneurship practices. Drawing on affordance theory, this research uses mixed method approach investigate how SMEs' commitment platform adoption stimulate actualization three affordances: consumer knowledge generation, internationalization, customer diversification.
