Summary Oilwell cement ensures wellbore stability and isolates zones while bearing casing load formation pressure. Its properties, crucial in extreme downhole conditions, include compressive strength, fluid loss resistance, durability. In the present work, bismuth ferrite nanoparticles (BFO NPs) were synthesized using sol-gel method used as an additive oilwell cement. The BFO NPs characterized Fourier transform infrared (FTIR), X-ray diffraction (XRD), field-emission scanning electron microscope (FESEM), dynamic light scattering (DLS) techniques to analyze functional groups, crystalline structure, morphological features, hydrodynamic size distribution. Tests at 70°C 2,000 psi revealed that 1% by weight of (BWOC) increased strength ~136% reduced ~64% compared with base It can be conjectured exposed facets containing oxygen act nucleating sites promote ordering silicate tetrahedra, thereby increasing crystallinity reducing water loss. experimental results confirm improve properties slurry high-pressure, high-temperature (HPHT) conditions. This research underscores potential sustainable additives for optimizing performance under challenging HPHT paving way advancements construction practices.
