Effective separation of residual carbon and ash is the basis for resource utilization coal gasification fine slag (CGFS). The conventional flotation process CGFS has bottlenecks low recovery high collector dosage. In order to address these issues, sample taken from Shaanxi, China was used as study object in this paper. A new size classification − grain ultrasonic pretreatment (SC-FGUF) proposed its effect compared with that whole-grain (WGF) well (SC-FGF). mechanism enhanced revealed through kinetic fitting, flow foam layer stability, particle composition, surface morphology, pore structure, chemical property analysis. results showed WGF, pre-classification could reduce dosage by 84.09% combination increase combustible 17.29% up 93.46%. SC-FGUF allows ineffective adsorption coarse during stage be reduced pre-classification, tightly embedded state particles disrupted oxidizing functional group occupancy pretreatment, thus easier separated process. addition, some were broken down smaller sizes which led an stability a decrease probability detachment bubbles. Therefore, dosage, innovative method carbon-ash good application prospect.
