Microplastics in water have emerged as a significant public concern recent years due to their potential adverse impacts on both human and animal health. This study conducts an analysis of articles published key journals indexed the Web Science from 2011 2023, employing CiteSpace VOSviewer for data extraction visualization. The results elucidate marked increase number publications citations since 2018. Initially, United Kingdom was at forefront research output this domain, with publication proportion 16.59% 2017 4.37% 2018 2023. However, China has increased 10.31 40.45%.
