White
LEDs
have
a
broad
application
prospects
and
market
demand,
while
the
red
phosphor
play
big
impact
on
color
temperature
rendering
index
of
modulated
white
light.
In
this
paper,
series
Li<sub>2</sub>Gd<sub>4-<i>x</i></sub>Sm<sub><i>x</i></sub>(MoO<sub>4</sub>)<sub>7</sub>(<i>x</i>=0.01-0.13)
phosphors
were
prepared
by
high
solid
phase
method.
The
successful
doping
Sm<sup>3+</sup>
into
Li<sub>2</sub>Gd<sub>4</sub>(MoO<sub>4</sub>)<sub>7</sub>
was
confirmed
X-ray
diffractometry
(XRD)
did
not
result
in
any
change
crystal
structure.
samples
detected
scanning
electron
microscope
(SEM)
as
irregular
blocky
structures
with
particle
size
less
than
20μm.
presence
Li,
Gd,
Mo,
O
Sm
elements
energy
dispersive
spectroscopy
(EDS).
photoelectron
(XPS)
studies
showed
that
activator
successfully
doped
materials.
Under
406
nm
excitation,
emission
peaks
sample
are
located
at
563,
598,
645
706nm
respectively,
which
caused
4<i>f</i>-4<i>f</i>
transition
Sm<sup>3+</sup>and
strongest
peak
comes
from
<sup>4</sup>G<sub>5/2</sub>→<sup>6</sup>H<sub>9/2</sub>
transition.
It
found
optimal
concentration
is
0.07.
With
increase
concentration,
fluorescence
lifetime
decreases
gradually.
temperature-dependent
also
studied.
intensity
473
K
still
79%
298
K,
indicating
had
excellent
heat
resistance.
CIE
chromaticity
diagram
shows
luminescence
orange-red
region
purity
(99%).
Moreover,
LED
manufactured
using
optical
phosphor,
has
coordinates
(0.3788,
0.3134)
