ABSTRACT A salamo‐type biscompartmental ligand was successfully prepared. On this basis, two novel pentanuclear zinc (II) complexes possessing solvent effect were self‐assembled with different salts: [Zn 5 (L) 2 ( μ ‐OAc) (CH 3 COCH )] 1 ) and CN)] ).
