Abstract Background: The effect of probiotics onHelicobacter pylori (Hp) infection demonstrates considerable heterogeneity. This study aims to elucidate the role Lactobacillus fermentum MN–LF23 (MN–LF23) in Hp–infected populations. Methods: A total 94 adult patients with confirmed Hp were enrolled this and randomly allocated placebo or MN–LF23 group. Patients initially received either along standard quadruple therapy for 2 weeks, followed by continued administration an additional 4 weeks. eradication Hp, serum levels inflammatory factors, alterations gastrointestinal symptoms assessed at weeks 0, 2, 6, while fecal samples collected metagenomic sequencing.
