Taking advantage of the growing production organic waste for its conversion to waste-to-energy (WtE) also contributes mitigating problems associated with final disposal, which is a global trend increasing application. This work presents an innovative approach identification and prioritization WtE alternatives available from use food (FW) present in municipal solid (MSW) Colombian municipality source separation selective collection: (i) systematic literature review, allows one identify alternatives; (ii) prospective MIC-MAC method (Matrice d’Impacts Croisés Multiplication Appliqués à un Classement) allowed selection criteria sub criteria; (iii) analytical hierarchical process (AHP) technique order preference by similarity ideal solution (TOPSIS), ranking selected considering technical, environmental, social aspects. The technologies identified were anaerobic digestion, gasification, incineration, biogas recovery landfills, pyrolysis; this last was excluded due greater application potential substrates such as plastic waste. six sub-criteria prioritized acceptability (36%), greenhouse gas emissions mitigated (16.17%), MSW reduction (15.83%), energy (13.80%), technological maturity (12.95%), electrical efficiency (5.25%), decreasing preferences digestion (78.2%), gasification (47.5%), incineration (27.4%), landfills (6.6%); latter least desirable alternative (lower acceptance CO2 tons relation other options). nature study consideration comprehensive management type large number (120 52 social, 59 technical) validation results through sensitivity analysis, us confirm study, that most favorable technology treatment FW.

Effective evaluation of cities' and communities' sustainability is important for sustainable development. From a methodological point view, Multi-Criteria Decision Analysis (MCDA) methods proved their usability in the domain. Nevertheless, process building model classical MCDA paradigm based on single set input data. Therefore, it may lead to oversimplification, especially domain sustainability. Moreover, addition current assessment, also know dynamics change over time. this paper proposes an innovative assessment method that integrates approach with variability alternatives' performance measurement called Data vARIability Assessment Technique Order Preference by Similarity Ideal Solution (the DARIA-TOPSIS method). This was used assess cities communities 26 European countries. The logistics sector plays one of the most important roles in supply chain with aim providing a fast, flexible, safe, economical, efficient, and environmentally acceptable performance freight transport flows. In addition, popularization concept circular economy (CE) used to retain goods, components, materials at their highest usability value all times, illustrates importance adequate reverse (RL) processes. However, traditional RL is unable cope requirements modern chains requires application Industry 4.0 technologies, which would make it more efficient. main this study was evaluate applicability various technologies order point out applicable ones. Decision support systems (DSS) are currently developing rapidly and increasingly used in various fields. More often, those inseparable from information-based computer systems. Therefore, a methodical point of view, the algorithms implemented DSS play critical role. In this aspect, multi-criteria decision (MCDA) methods widely used. As research progresses, many MCDA for objective identification significance individual criteria models were developed. paper, an analysis available weighting is presented. Additionally, authors presented implementation system that provides easy accessible weight calculations any matrix with possibility comparing results different methods. The compared using carefully selected similarity coefficients to emphasise correlation resulting weights. performed shows every method should provide distinctive weights considering input data, emphasising importance choosing correct given model DSS.

This paper aims to present an innovative approach based on two newly developed Multi-Criteria Decision-Making (MCDM) methods: COMET combined with TOPSIS and SPOTIS, which could be the basis for a decision support system (DSS) in problem of selecting solar panels. Solar energy is one most promising environmentally friendly sources because enormous potential directly converting available radiation everywhere into electricity. Furthermore, ever-lower prices photovoltaic systems make electricity more competitive power from conventional sources, increasing interest panels among companies households. fact generates need user-friendly, objective, fully automated DSS multi-criteria selection Both MCDM methods chosen this purpose are rank-reversal-free precise. First, objective entropy weighting method was applied determining criteria weights. Final rankings were compared by ranking correlation coefficients: symmetrical rw asymmetrical WS. Then sensitivity analysis providing local weights alternatives performed. The obtained results prove adequacy practical usefulness presented solving selection.
