Abstract In smart cities, reliable, energy-efficient power supply is crucial, highlighting the need for grids (SGs). Continuous advancements have enhanced grid resilience, precision, and efficiency through improved communication collaboration between components. SGs reduce outages, improve energy consumption control, integrate renewable sources. Utilities benefit from lower costs security. This paper explores role of advanced techniques in SGs, focusing on how technologies like IoT sensors meters enhance distribution, promote sustainability, support real-time data flow better system control cities.

ABSTRACT This study offers a comprehensive systematic review and bibliometric analysis of the determinants affecting renewable energy adoption in developing nations. By employing methodology that integrates qualitative content with mapping, 201 articles published between 2019 2023 were examined. The results reveal complex web technological, economic, social, political factors influencing clean implementation. A temporal demonstrates significant paradigm shift literature, from predominantly economic–financial (37% 2019) to emergence sociocultural as primary drivers (32% 2023) adoption. Noteworthy barriers include financial limitations, governance challenges, societal resistance, whereas facilitators encompass innovations business models supportive policies. highlighted geographical asymmetries knowledge production, research concentrated China, India, United Kingdom, extensive regions Africa Latin America remain underrepresented. These disparities raise critical questions about generalizability findings across diverse socioeconomic contexts. emphasizes importance multifaceted locally tailored strategies drive adoption, particularly those addressing emerging dimensions. also explores implications for policy suggests future directions, advocating more interdisciplinary, longitudinal investigations, greater inclusivity international collaborations ensure representation underserved regions.

Blockchain-enabled Transactive Energy (BCTE) heralds a revolutionary departure from traditional paradigms to achieve decentralization and its benefits in the energy sector. Despite foundational insights provided by IEEE’s seminal position paper 2021, practical realization of BCTE still needs be achieved, necessitating substantial research development endeavors toward real-world BCTE. Our study responds this imperative presenting framework ReCert that aims unlock full potential through prosumer-centric approach sets cornerstone advance fully functional solution. ReCert1 introduces Re-Certification mechanism operates over Self-sovereign Identity (SSI), which also serves as gluing force between DLT blockchain components tackle challenges trilemma.
