This paper presents a methodology for the optimal sizing of proposed photovoltaic (PV)-battery grid-connected system fast charging station electric vehicles (FCSEVs) in Cairo, Egypt. The key objectives formulated optimization problem are to minimize total cost and guarantee validity energy balance principle within considered system. also develops novel management strategy, which is designed based on two widely adopted pricing strategies, optimally managing power flow with purpose reaching optimum sizes components. Abstract The cost-effective scheduling of distributed energy resources through sophisticated optimization algorithms is the main focus recent work on microgrid management. In order to improve load factor and efficiency, load-shifting techniques are frequently used in conjunction with additional complex constraints such as PHEV battery life assessment. Pollutant reduction, however, rarely highlighted a primary goal. An incentive-based demand response (IBDR) introduced proposed close this gap promote curtailment during peak hours. IBDR policy rewards participant customers incentives for which turn lowers emissions generation costs. Furthermore, trade-off approach ensures both environmental economic sustainability by striking balance between cost reduction emission reduction.
