The effect of the surface tension in a coupled nanobeam system is investigated with respect to free vibrations and buckling for simply supported (SS), supported-clamped (SC), clamped-clamped (CC) boundary conditions. constitutive relations are based on nonlocal theory Euler–Bernoulli nanobeams. problem formulation includes elasticity results given circular cross sections. In studying system, three cases deflection modes considered, namely, out-of-phase, in-phase, one beam stationary form figures contour plots. numerical frequency load obtained by method differential quadrature. solution verified applying available literature. coupling parameter diameter means counter It observed that affects low values diameter. Furthermore, indicate as size nanobeams approaches nanoscale, effects become more prominent. Differences both compared local increase get smaller.
