Abstract Herein we report a visible‐light‐induced trifluoromethylative difunctionalization of styrenes and phenylacetylenes using trifluoromethyl thianthrenium triflate (TT‐CF 3 + OTf − ). The transformation was enabled by the discovery photoactive catalytic EDA complex formed between carbazolyl dithiocarbamate TT‐CF . This three‐component reactivity platform establishes new paradigm for , significantly expanding its repertoire photochemically trifluoromethylation reactions.

Visible-light photoredox-catalyzed method has been developed for the synthesis of quinoxalin-2(1H)-one-containing vinyl phosphorodithioates via direct difunctionalization alkynes with quinoxalin-2(1H)-ones, P4S10 and alcohols. This four-component reaction could be carried out under metal-free mild conditions, affording a number in moderate to good yields Z-isomers as major products. Photocatalytic radical mechanism is proposed based on results trapping fluorescence quenching experiments.

Abstract We herein disclose a direct and practical photocatalytic three‐component α‐trifluoroalkyl‐β‐heteroarylation of various unactivated alkenes with trifluoroacetates quinoxalin‐2(1 H )‐ones. The reaction takes place via photoinduced LMCT process, allowing efficient synthesis variety 3‐fluoroalkylated )‐one derivatives in moderate to excellent yields under mild conditions.
