Abstract Hydrophobic antifouling polymers capable of self‐healing performance are highly desirable for industrial applications. However, the construction self‐healing, hydrophobic is challenging considering their complex fouling environments, which humid in aqueous environment. In this work, a polymer containing Fe 3+ ‐catechol coordination applicable to synthesized. The fluoroalkyl segments formed unique domains dispersed polydimethylsiloxane matrix. as‐synthesized can completely restore tensile strength, and efficiency above 90% both artificial seawater pure water because dynamic interactions. exhibited properties against common marine bacteria. colony adhesion processes damaged coating bacteria characterized by laser confocal microscopy. This strategy may be useful development future polymeric materials.
