The preparation of a series alkali-metal inclusion complexes the molecular cube [{CoIII(Me3-tacn)}4{FeII(CN)6}4]4- (Me3-tacn = 1,4,7-trimethyl-1,4,7-triazacyclononane), mixed-valent Prussian Blue analogue bearing bridging cyanido ligands, has been achieved by following redox-triggered self-assembly process. cubes are extremely robust and soluble in aqueous media ranging from 5 M [H+] to 2 [OH-]. All have characterized standard mass spectometry, UV-vis, inductively coupled plasma, multinuclear NMR spectroscopy, electrochemistry. Furthermore, X-ray diffraction analysis sodium lithium salts also achieved, moieties form {M-OH2}+ (M Li, Na) is confirmed. These solution rather inert cation exchange significant decrease acidity confined water molecule due hydrogen bonding inside cubic cage. In this work, three organic–inorganic hybrid calixpyridinium–polyoxometalate nanoparticle assemblies were constructed by the strong electrostatic interactions of calixpyridinium with phosphotungstic acid (PTA, H3PW12O40), silicotungstic (STA, H4SiW12O40), and phosphomolybdic (PMA, H3PMo12O40). Interestingly, all irregular, spherical nanoparticles but quite different sizes. The smallest calixpyridinium–PTA assembly had most excellent removal effect on organic dyes, such as crystal violet (CV), eriochrome black T (EBT), congo red (CR) in presence H2O2 light. This became worse when using a larger from calixpyridinium–STA to calixpyridinium–PMA under same conditions. addition, solid phosphoric selective adsorption capacity for cationic CV, methylene blue (MB), rhodamine B (RhB), acidic study not only gave structure–function relationship also supplied an alternative green convenient method dyes wastewater.

Two structurally intriguing Ru-containing isopolyoxometalates [(Ru(OH))2O(W5O18)2]8- (1) and [(W5O18)(Ru2W8O31)]12- (2) were constructed from subtly different conditions. Single-crystal X-ray diffraction indicated that the precise pH modification has allowed us to trap a diruthenium-oxo core within isopolyoxotungstate species. Compound 1 is first sandwich-type ruthenium consisting of linear {(HO)Ru-O-Ru(OH)} unit two Lindqvist-type {W5} building blocks, while ligand replacement with an unusual {W8} ring in case compound produced unique embedded-type 2 quasi-linear {Ru-O-Ru} core. In addition being determined solid state, crystal structures also confirmed by 183W nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy electrospray ionization-mass spectrometry (ESI-MS) solution. NMR spectrum demonstrated two-line pattern (with approximately 4:1 relative intensities) consistent pseudo-D2h symmetry observed state.
