Honey is a natural product with multiple health benefits. The paper presents the chemical characterization and antioxidant antimicrobial potential of ten types honey (knotweed, linden, wild cherry, acacia, honeydew, oilseed rape, sunflower, phacelia, plain polyflora hill polyflora) from Banat region, Romania. We studied water content, dry matter, impurities, acidity pH honey. also determined content reducing sugar, minerals flavonoids total phenolic content. All samples analysed showed good nutritional characteristics according to standard codex for From analysis mineral samples, we observed variability in macro microminerals, influenced by botanical origin, ranging between 0.25% (wild cherry honey) 0.54% (honeydew). toxic metals' (Cd Pb) levels met almost all except knotweed. flavonoid ranged 9.29 mg QE/100 g 263.86 linden honey, polyphenols 177.6 mgGAE/100 acacia 1159.3 honeydew. best capacity was registered case (79.89%) honeydew (79.20%) weakest (41.88%) cherries (50.4%). activity, depending on type concentration strain analysed. novelty this study given complex approach quality, both perspective attributes evaluation specific strains correlation geographical origin analyzed area.

Since the ancient times, bee products (i.e., honey, propolis, pollen, venom, bread, and royal jelly) have been considered as natural remedies with therapeutic effects against a number of diseases. The pleiotropy is due to their diverse composition chemical properties, which independent on species. This has encouraged researchers extensively study potentials these products, especially honey. On other hand, amid unprecedented growth in nanotechnology research applications, nanomaterials various characteristics utilized improve efficiency products. Towards keeping non-toxic therapeutics, green synthesis nanocarriers loaded or extracts received special attention. Alginate naturally produced biopolymer derived from brown algae, desirable properties include biodegradability, biocompatibility, non-toxicity non-immunogenicity. review presents an overview alginates, including nanoformulations, pharmaceutical placing particular emphasis applications for enhancement Despite paucity studies fabrication alginate-based extracts, recent advances area utilizing types materials enhance are summarized this work. As most widespread well-studied honey propolis garnered interest; combining them led promising findings, wound healing skin tissue engineering. Furthermore, future directions proposed discussed encourage develop stingless product nanomedicines, help selecting suitable methods devising nanoformulations based multi-criteria decision making models. Also, commercialization prospects nanocomposites alginates discussed. In conclusion, preserving original critical challenge developing nano-carrier systems. Alginate-based well suited task because they can be fabricated without use harsh conditions, such shear force freeze-drying, often used nano-carriers. Further, conjunction polymers does not only combine medicinal but it could also mechanical cell adhesion capacity alginates.
