Introduction. Currently, there is a separate phenotype “bronchial asthma – obesity”, manifested by more severe course of the disease, low rates achieving control, resistance to basic therapy. Asthma, like obesity, recognized as classic example multifactorial diseases, which are based on rather complex gene network. Aim: to study the levels of fatty acids in membranes erythrocytes and blood serum patients with inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD) examined over time, as possible predictors exacerbation disease. Materials methods. Over a period 6–12 months, 24 (mean age — 38.2 ± 4.4 years) IBD moderate mild severity disease were examined, which 10 had ulcerative colitis, Crohn’s disease, 4 unclassified colitis: first examination was acute stage, second remission stage.
