Abstract Sordariomycetes is one of the largest classes Ascomycota that comprises a highly diverse range fungi mainly characterized by perithecial ascomata and inoperculate unitunicate asci. Freshwater play an important role in ecosystems some them have potential to produce bioactive compounds. This study documents reviews freshwater Sordariomycetes, which groups aquatic habitats. Based on evidence from DNA sequence data morphology, we introduce new order Distoseptisporales, two families, viz. Ceratosphaeriaceae Triadelphiaceae, three genera, Aquafiliformis , Dematiosporium Neospadicoides 47 species, Acrodictys fluminicola lignicola Aquapteridospora fusiformis Arthrinium aquaticum Ascosacculus Atractospora aquatica Barbatosphaeria Ceratosphaeria C. Chaetosphaeria Ch. catenulata guttulata submersa Codinaea yunnanensis Conioscypha Cordana Cosmospora Cylindrotrichum submersum Dictyochaeta cangshanensis D. ellipsoidea Distoseptispora appendiculata neorostrata obclavata Hypoxylon Lepteutypa Myrmecridium N. Dothideomycetes is the largest class of kingdom Fungi and comprises an incredible diversity lifestyles, many which have evolved multiple times. Plant pathogens represent a major ecological niche they are known to infect most food crops feedstocks for biomass biofuel production. Studying ecology evolution has significant implications our fundamental understanding fungal evolution, their adaptation stress host specificity, practical with regard effects climate change on food, feed, livestock elements agro-economy. In this study, we present first large-scale, whole-genome comparison 101 introducing 55 newly sequenced species. The availability data produced high-confidence phylogeny leading reclassification 25 organisms, provided clearer picture relationships among various families, indicated that pathogenicity times within class. We also identified gene family expansions contractions across linked niches providing insights into genome group. Using machine-learning methods classified fungi lifestyle classes >95 % accuracy small number families positively correlated these distinctions. This can become valuable tool genome-based prediction species lifestyle, especially rarely seen poorly studied

Fungi in the class Leotiomycetes are ecologically diverse, including mycorrhizas, endophytes of roots and leaves, plant pathogens, aquatic aero-aquatic hyphomycetes, mammalian saprobes. These fungi commonly detected cultures from diseased tissue environmental DNA extracts. The identification specimens such character-poor samples increasingly relies on sequencing. However, current classification is still largely based morphologically defined taxa, especially at higher taxonomic levels. Consequently, formal frequently poorly congruent with relationships suggested by sequencing studies. Previous class-wide phylogenies have been ribosomal markers, most published multi-gene studies being focussed particular genera or families. In this paper we collate data available representing both sexual asexual morphs across genetic breadth class, a focus generic type species, to present phylogeny up 15 concatenated genes 279 specimens. Included dataset that were extracted 72 genomes for 10 new released study. To test statistical support deepest branches phylogeny, an additional 3156 51 selected also presented. fill some gaps 15-gene further ITS gene tree, particularly targeting ex-type species. Abstract Wild mushrooms are a vital source of income and nutrition for many poor communities value to recreational foragers. Literature relating the edibility mushroom species continues expand, driven by an increasing demand wild mushrooms, wider interest in foraging, study traditional foods. Although numerous case reports have been published on edible doubt confusion persist regarding which safe suitable consume. Case often differ, evidence supporting stated properties can be incomplete or ambiguous. The need greater clarity is further underlined increases mushroom‐related poisonings. We propose system categorizing assigning final status. Using this system, we reviewed 2,786 from 99 countries, accessing 9,783 reports, over 1,100 sources. identified 2,189 species, 2,006 consumed safely, 183 required some form pretreatment prior consumption were associated with allergic reactions some. 471 uncertain because missing consumption, 76 unconfirmed unresolved, differing opinions toxicity. This most comprehensive list available date, demonstrating huge number consumed. Our review highlights information clash present clear, unambiguous, consistent manner.

Abstract The cosmopolitan plant genus Clematis contains many climbing species that can be found worldwide. occurs in the wild and is grown commercially for horticulture.
