Ubiquitination and deubiquitination are reversible processes that modify the characteristics of target proteins, including stability, intracellular localization, enzymatic activity. Ubiquitin-specific proteases (USPs) constitute largest deubiquitinating enzyme family. To date, accumulating evidence indicates several USPs positively negatively affect metabolic diseases. USP22 in pancreatic β-cells, USP2 adipose tissue macrophages, USP9X, 20, 33 myocytes, USP4, 7, 10, 18 hepatocytes, hypothalamus improve hyperglycemia, whereas USP19 adipocytes, USP21 USP2, 14, 20 hepatocytes promote hyperglycemia. In contrast, USP1, 5, 9X, 15, 22, 36, 48 modulate progression diabetic nephropathy, neuropathy, and/or retinopathy. ameliorates non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD), while hepatic 11, 19, exacerbate it. Metabolic syndrome (MetS) is a multifaceted condition that increases the possibility of developing atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease. MetS includes obesity, hypertension, dyslipidemia, hyperglycemia, endothelial dysfunction, and platelet hyperactivity. There concerning rise in occurrence frequency globally. The rising incidence severity need proactive, multipronged strategy for identifying treating those affected. For many patients, achieving recommended goals healthy fat intake, blood pressure control, glucose management may require combination medicine therapy, lifestyles, nutraceuticals, others. However, it essential to note lifestyle modification should be first-line therapy MetS. In addition, requires pharmacological, nutraceutical, or other interventions. Metabolic syndrome (MetS) is a global problem that increasingly violates human health and quality of life. We explored the relationship between dietary inflammatory potential represented by index (DII) occurrence MetS to provid data support for prevention it through structure intervention. The was come from National Health Nutrition Examination Survey 2007-2018, including demographic, dietary, questionnaire variables laboratory indicators. defined according criteria proposed American Endocrine Association (ACE) Society Clinical Endocrinology (ACCE). DII calculated using scoring method established Shivappa. divided scores into 4 quartiles, chi-square test used compare variable difference quartiles groups. A logistic regression model analyze association MetS. also performed subgroup analysis. generalized linear explore level levels seven related biochemical indicators. The final sample size 8,180, subjects were -5.50 5.22. The proportions men, young people, non-Hispanic blacks, poor smokers, patients in Q1-Q4 quantiles groups gradually increased. risk Q4 group which had highest degree 1.592 (1.248, 2.030) times higher than Q1 group, respectively (P < 0.001). After analysis, women, youth, non-smokers alcohol drinkers found be more sensitive inflammation. Then we significantly positively correlated with waist circumference (WC), body mass (BMI), triglyceride (TG), systolic blood pressure (SBP) diastolic (DBP), but negatively high density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C).In research subjects, inflammation associated affected WC, BMI, pressure, lipid levels. It necessary conduct investigations early interventions women people prevent chronic metabolic diseases.

Objective: Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) is a disorder characterized by disruption in breathing and hypoventilation. In parallel, metabolic syndrome (MetS) mainly co-occur with OSA, however, their association has not been fully elucidated. Therefore, this study aimed to reveal the relationship between OSA MetS using data from National Health And Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) database pooled Genome-Wide Association Studies (GWAS). Material Methods: Data genome-wide analysis (GWAS) were used univariate multivariate logistic regression analyses carried out evaluate correlation MetS, models utilized for adjusting potential confounders. Two-sample Mendelian randomization (MR) was assess causal MetS. The variance-weighted inverse method employed as main of analysis. Results: A positive Mets evidenced analysis, associated higher incidence rates all-cause cardiovascular mortality. strongly abdominal obesity, hypertension, hyperglycemia, high triglycerides, low HDL. Furthermore, except hypertriglyceridemia, MR indicated that genetically driven causally risk Conclusion: revealed, mortality noted be correlated OSA. further confirmed disease. Metabolic syndrome (MetS) is a multifactorial condition that significantly increases the risk of cardiovascular disease and chronic kidney (CKD). Recent studies have emphasized role lipid dysregulation in activating cellular mechanisms contribute to CKD progression context MetS. Sodium-glucose cotransporter 2 inhibitors (SGLT2i) demonstrated efficacy improving various components MetS, including obesity, dyslipidemia, insulin resistance. While SGLT2i shown cardioprotective benefits, underlying MetS remain poorly studied. Therefore, this review aims elucidate by which modulate metabolism their impact on resistance, mitochondrial dysfunction, oxidative stress, progression. We also explore potential benefits combining with other antidiabetic drugs. By examining beneficial effects, molecular targets, cytoprotective both natural synthetic SGLT2i, provides comprehensive understanding therapeutic managing MetS-induced CKD. The information presented here highlights significance addressing complex interplay between metabolic dysregulation, renal impairment, offering clinicians researchers valuable resource for developing improved treatment strategies personalized approaches patients

The purpose of this study was to investigate genetic factors associated with metabolic syndrome (MetS) by conducting a large-scale genome-wide association (GWAS) in Taiwan, addressing the limited data on Asian populations compared Western populations. Using from Taiwan Biobank, comprehensive clinical and information 107,230 Taiwanese individuals analyzed. Genotyping TWB1.0 TWB2.0 chips, including over 650,000 single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs), were utilized. Genotype imputation using 1000 Genomes Project performed, resulting more than 9 million SNPs. MetS defined based modified version Adult Treatment Panel III criteria. Among all participants (mean age: 50 years), 23% met definition. GWAS analysis identified 549 SNPs significantly MetS, collectively mapping 10 genomic risk loci. Notable loci included rs1004558, rs3812316, rs326, rs4486200, rs2954038, rs10830963, rs662799, rs62033400, rs183130, rs34342646. Gene-set revealed 22 genes: CETP, LPL, APOA5, SIK3, ZPR1, APOC1, BUD13, MLXIPL, TOMM40, GCK, YKT6, RPS6KB1, FTO, VMP1, TUBD1, BCL7B, C19orf80 (ANGPTL8), SIDT2, SENP7, PAFAH1B2, DOCK6, FOXA2.
