ABSTRACT The use of ultraviolet (UV‐C) disinfection robots has become increasingly popular in diverse settings, including hospitals, schools, public transportation, and high‐traffic areas, especially following the COVID‐19 pandemic. These offer potential to enhance efficiency reduce human exposure microorganisms. This paper aims to review the engineering controls for indoor air quality (IAQ) from a systems design perspective. As result of review, we classify literature content into three categories: (1) treatments, (2) dissemination control strategies, and (3) information technology. Indoor treatments can be generally interpreted as “cleaning” aspect, which covers ventilation contaminant removal techniques. Dissemination focuses on how contaminants generated in an space transmitted, where four types are classified. Ultraviolet radiation (UVR) exposure is commonly reported as a risk factor for Stevens-Johnson syndrome (SJS) and toxic epidermal necrolysis (TEN). However, minimal evaluation of photo-induced SJS/TEN has been conducted. Thus, this review identifies all cases that are linked to an acute UVR outlines the unifying characteristics these cases. Furthermore, theoretical pathogenesis, differential diagnoses, proposed diagnostic criteria defined.PubMed, Google Scholar, other databases websites were searched from inception September 2021 identify studies met inclusion criteria. The following keywords utilized: "Stevens-Johnson syndrome" "toxic necrolysis" with "ultraviolet," "photodistributed," "photo-induced," "photosensitivity," "photo."
