Currently, nitrogen fertilizers feed half of the global population, but their use is limited by energy consumption and transportation. Therefore, it important to study photocatalysts for in solar fertilizers. Herein, a new type graphene-embedded Ce-based UiO-66 (Ce-UiO-66) photocatalyst (GSCe) investigated. Ce-UiO-66 activated breakage benzene-C bonds formation active sites ultraviolet light water. Moreover, embedding graphene effectively controls activation improves fixation. GSCe exhibited remarkable apparent quantum efficiency (AQE) 9.25 % stability under 365 nm with solar-level intensity. also performed well as ammonia fertilizer crop cultivation. The effective separation of photogenerated carriers plays a vital role in photocatalytic reactions. In addition to the intrinsic driving force photocatalysis, an external field generating enhancement effect can provide extra energy system, acting as additional impetus separate charges and thus improving overall catalytic efficiency. As a new generation of porous materials, organic polymers (POPs), have recently emerged as powerful platform heterogeneous photocatalysis. POPs are constructed using extensive synthesis methodologies, with various functional units being connected via high-energy covalent bonds. This review systematically presents the recent advances in for visible-light driven transformations. Herein, we firstly summarize common construction strategies POP-based photocatalysts based on two major approaches: pre-design and post-modification; secondly, categorize methods reaction types constructing POPs. Charge separation plays a crucial role in regulating photochemical properties and therefore warrants consideration designing photocatalysts. Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) are emerging as promising candidates for heterogeneous photocatalysis due to their structural designability tunability of photon absorption. Herein, we report the design pyrazole-benzothiadiazole-pyrazole organic molecule bearing donor-acceptor-donor conjugated π-system fast charge separation. Further attempts integrate such photosensitizer into MOFs afford more effective photocatalyst (JNU-204). Under visible-light irradiation, three aerobic oxidation reactions involving different oxygenation pathways were achieved on JNU-204. Recycling experiments conducted demonstrate stability reusability JNU-204 robust photocatalyst. Furthermore, illustrate its applications facile synthesis pyrrolo[2,1-a]isoquinoline-containing heterocycles, core skeletons family marine natural products. is an exemplary MOF platform with good absorption, suitable band gap, separation, extraordinary chemical proceeding under irradiation.

Heptazine serves as the solely repetitive unit of graphitic carbon nitride (g-C3N4), which represents a progressive metal-free photocatalyst. However, synthesizing high-quality 2D heptazine-based covalent organic frameworks (COFs) remains formidable challenge, probably due to scarcity suitable and ample reactive building blocks. Herein, we designed synthesized 4-(methylene diacetate)phenyl-substituted heptazine monomer (HEP-OAc) by oxidation tris(4-tolyl)heptazine. Accordingly, two highly ordered N-rich COFs (HEP-TAPT-COF HEP-TAPB-COF) were readily prepared direct condensation HEP-OAc with C3-symmetric aromatic amines under solvothermal conditions. In comparison pristine g-C3N4, HEP-TAPT-COF exhibited greatly enhanced photocatalytic performance for benzylic C–H selective sulfoxidation mild This work provides meaningful insights into developing crystalline better capacities.
