This study simulates the spread of epidemics on university campuses using a multilayer temporal network model combined with SEIR (Susceptible–Exposed–Infectious–Recovered) transmission model. The proposed approach explicitly captures time-varying contact patterns across four distinct layers (Rest, Dining, Activity, and Academic) to reflect realistic student mobility driven by class schedules spatial constraints. It evaluates impact various intervention measures epidemic spreading, including subnetwork closure zoned management. Our analysis reveals that Academic Activity emerge as high-risk hubs due their dynamic, high-density structures. Intervention exhibit layer-dependent efficacy: management is highly effective in high-contact subnetworks, its low-contact subnetworks remains limited. Consequently, must be dynamically adjusted based characteristics each situations, higher participation rates enhancing effectiveness these measures. work advances methodological innovation epidemiology bridging structural dynamics processes, offering actionable insights for campus-level pandemic preparedness. findings underscore necessity layer-aware policies optimize resource allocation complex, time-dependent systems.
