With the promotion of marine power strategies and ecological civilization construction, green development has become an important issue. This study utilizes mixed distance function Epsilon-based measure global Malmquist–Luenberger index model, which accommodates both radial non-radial models, to evaluate total factor productivity (GTFP) across 11 coastal regions China. The findings this are as follows. First, GTFP showed a gradual increase in China’s during period, with notable differences observed among three primary economic circles. Second, technological advancement was driver transformation GTFP. Third, distribution space pattern tended be concentrated continuously, shows that overall spatial remained relatively stable. Fourth, there is no obvious σ convergence northern, eastern circle. Both absolute conditional β exists, indicating converged their respective steady-state levels period. can provide decision-making reference for accelerating growth sustainable economy.
