Students’
burnout
has
been
widely
investigated
in
recent
decades,
mainly
showing
a
higher
risk
for
female
students
across
academic
levels.

OBJECTIVE:
Despite
decades
of
burnout
research,
clinical
validated
cut-off
scores
that
discriminate
between
those
who
suffer
from
and
don’t
are
still
lacking.

establish
such
scores,
the
current
study
uses
a
newly
developed
questionnaire,
Burnout
Assessment
Tool
(BAT)

four
subscales
(exhaustion,
mental
distancing,
emotional
cognitive
impairment).

as

shortened
BAT-12.

Burnout
Assessment
Tool
(BAT)
has
shown
satisfactory
validity
evidence
in
several
countries,
with
the
23-item
version
of
instrument
reporting
adequate
psychometric
properties
