Visible light-driven single-electron transfer-based direct cyanation of benzylic C-H bond with non-toxic N-Cyano-N-phenyl-ptoluenesulfonamide (NCTS) has been proposed using 4CzIPN, a widely used and affordable substitute for metal catalysts.The aforementioned method offers broad functional group tolerance, extensive substrate scope, excellent yields, mild reaction conditions.This green sustainable photocatalytic hydrogen atom transfer can be applicable the diversified functionalization variety native bonds.
