Emerging
research
suggests
an
uptick
in
mental
health
challenges
during
the
COVID-19
pandemic
among
university
students.
Using
a
sequential
explanatory
mixed
methods
design,
this
study
examined
first-year
students’
and
help-seeking
behaviors
pandemic.
Findings
reveal
approximately
one
third
of
students
had
needs,
but
few
sought
out
services.
Participants
described
range
barriers
across
external,
interpersonal,
intrapersonal
domains
that
influenced
whether
or
not
they
indicate
need
for
structural
changes

Although
there

how
coping
strategies
can

outcomes

Purpose

review
There
are
few
studies
investigating
the
effects
urbanization
on
various
anxiety-related
conditions
in
specific
population
subgroups.

This
study

long-term
evolution
of
mental
health
services
use
following
COVID-19
pandemic.
