Emerging research suggests an uptick in mental health challenges during the COVID-19 pandemic among university students. Using a sequential explanatory mixed methods design, this study examined first-year students’ and help-seeking behaviors pandemic. Findings reveal approximately one third of students had needs, but few sought out services. Participants described range barriers across external, interpersonal, intrapersonal domains that influenced whether or not they indicate need for structural changes universities increase access to services facilitate narrative change about help-seeking.

Although several mental health conditions have their onset during adolescence, a very small proportion of adolescents receive adequate evidence-based interventions. There are both demand and supply-side barriers to accessing healthcare. The problem has been further exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic, which disrupted general life, care services, children, adolescents, young adults across globe. Despite multiple implementation challenges, interventions delivered in school settings using digital technologies can improve access for especially given reverberations COVID era. While designing adolescent programs, special emphasis needs be on equity trying reach out who need services most.

The lifetime prevalence of PTSD ranges from 6 to 20% and is often associated with comorbid disorders. Despite the significant impact PTSD, specific data on healthcare utilization related remain limited. This study aims characterize PTSD-related hospitalizations in France over past decade. nationwide longitudinal retrospective analyzed 2013 2022 using French National Hospitals Database. Data included discharge records general psychiatric hospitals, detailing demographics, admission/discharge dates, ICD-10 diagnoses, hospitalization specifics. Between 2022, 69,108 patients underwent 125,349 a diagnosis (0.4% all inpatient cases) France. Psychiatric facilities accounted for 74,988 (1% cases France), while hospitals recorded 50,361 (0.02% non-psychiatric cases). percentage inpatients diagnosed increased 0.68 2.22% 0.02 0.04% period. The COVID-19 pandemic has had a significant impact on the physical and mental health of human beings. Although there is evidence describing how coping strategies can impact mental health outcomes and inequities among young adults, little known about different sub-groups of adults engage with positive the association challenges. Data were drawn from an online cross-sectional survey (July–December 2021) aged 18–30 years who reported experiencing COVID-19-related stress in Canada (n=2288) France (n=1891) during second year pandemic. This study aimed to analyse the long-term evolution of mental health services use following COVID-19 pandemic. was a retrospective study, conducted from 2019 2024, using Groupe Hospitalier Universitaire Paris Psychiatry and Neurosciences (GHU Paris) databases. We considered number patients consulting at GHU clinics, presenting emergency department (ED), hospital admissions per week, by sex age group. performed piecewise linear regression, threshold approach identify time patterns between 2024: pre-pandemic period (T1), short-term (T2) post-pandemic (T3). Temporal changes in healthcare service were then analysed. No significant overall observed outpatients after pandemic, except for slight increase among aged 15-24 years. The remained lower 2024 compared with 2019, decreasing trend T3 all subgroups. In contrast, ED visits increased over time, higher women young people 2019. (T3) continued show an increasing pattern. Additionally, reduction schizophrenia presentations observed, while there substance or neurotic disorders.
