However, it is unknown how much young children are exposed to digital food on mobile devices like tablets smartphones.ObjectiveEstimate frequently children, who particularly vulnerable advertising, view while using devices.MethodsSeventy-five 2-11 year-olds their parents from Massachusetts participated in this cross-sectional study 2022-2023. Average estimated exposure advertisements food/beverage brand appearances was calculated for 5 consecutive days a combination of battery screenshots average estimates collected children's devices. Generalized estimating equations tested sociodemographic differences advertising exposure.ResultsYoung highly variable, with many seeing none given day but substantial minority viewing large amounts. Estimated depended child used either YouTube or gaming app; there no other apps by Higher parental educational attainment associated substantially reduced two more (aOR=0.26, 95%CI: 0.10, 0.70).ConclusionsCertain those households lower attainment, may be at high marketing, have minimal risk. Future research should explore diverse samples valid, feasible measures.SummaryAmong n=75 year-olds, screen varied widely. Lower education higher marketing.
