Abstract
Background
COVID-19
has
posed
a
significant
global
threat
to
public
health
due
its
high
contagion
risk
and
lack
of
effective
treatment.
While
quarantine
measures
have
been
crucial
in
controlling
the
virus’
spread,
they
also
contributed
negative
impacts
on
individuals’
mental
health.
Music
listening
emerged
as
potential
coping
mechanism,
yet
it
remains
unclear
whether
well-being
varies
across
music
preferences.
Objective
This
study
examined
music-listening
preferences
context
assessed
mediation
pathways
linking
5
types
levels,
mediated
by
perceived
social
connectedness
well
sense
security.
Methods
A
web-based
survey
was
conducted
among
people
with
experience

2022,
mainland
China.

712
valid
questionnaires
were
returned
596
samples

included

revealed
that
vast
