Black women and men outpace other races for stimulant-involved overdose mortality despite lower lifetime use. Abstract Background COVID-19 has posed a significant global threat to public health due its high contagion risk and lack of effective treatment. While quarantine measures have been crucial in controlling the virus’ spread, they also contributed negative impacts on individuals’ mental health. Music listening emerged as potential coping mechanism, yet it remains unclear whether well-being varies across music preferences. Objective This study examined music-listening preferences context assessed mediation pathways linking 5 types levels, mediated by perceived social connectedness well sense security. Methods A web-based survey was conducted among people with experience September 2022, mainland China. total 712 valid questionnaires were returned 596 samples finally included our for analysis. Results The results revealed that vast majority (596/623, 96%) respondents had experiences during quarantine, pop emerging most popular preference respondents, while quyi least listened-to genre. As episodes of mass displacement become the subject worldwide headlines, news media discourse on refugees seems often to reduce refugee experience either depictions helpless victims or threatening foreigners. However, dynamic such as music can prove a useful avenue through which refugeeism may be creatively discussed in new light. Utilizing counternarrative lens, this thesis presents textual analysis albums from K’naan, M.I.A., and Wyclef Jean, prominent musicians who utilize global expressions rap address experiences.
