Stimuli-responsive hydrogels have emerged as a promising class of biomaterials for advanced wound healing applications, offering dynamic and controllable responses to the microenvironment. These are designed respond specific stimuli, such pH, temperature, light, enzyme activity, enabling precise regulation drug release, antimicrobial tissue regeneration. Composite stimuli-responsive hydrogels, by integrating multiple response mechanisms functions, show potential addressing diverse needs healing. This review explores biological healing, design classification composite key fabrication strategies employed optimise their properties. Despite immense potential, unresolved challenges biocompatibility, long-term stability, scalability continue limit translation into clinical practice. Future research will focus on with smart wearable devices, AI-driven personalised medicine, 3D bioprinting technologies develop next-generation care solutions. With continuous advancements in science bioengineering, hold great promise revolutionising management.
