Abstract Improving the hydroxide conductivity and dimensional stability of anion exchange membranes (AEMs) while retaining their high alkaline is necessary to realize commercialization AEM water electrolysis (AEMWE). A strategy for improving AEMs by inserting fluorine atoms in core structure backbone reported, which not only reduces glass transition temperature polymer due steric strain, but also induces distinct phase separation inducing polarity discrimination facilitate formation ion transport channels. The resulting PFPFTP‐QA with into shows (>159 mS cm −1 at 80 °C), favorable (>25% excellent 1000 h 2 m KOH solution °C.
