The mysteries of chemical structures and properties lignin are gradually being unveiled. In parallel, is gaining ground as a versatile resource for the development stimuli-responsive materials with environmentally friendly, high-performance, multifunctional characters. This review focuses on synthesis mechanisms lignin-based materials, highlighting linked to responses various different stimuli, such pH temperature. We also highlight applications these in drug carriers, bioimaging, shape memory, strain sensors, substance detection, objective showcase untapped potential lignin, challenging prevailing notion that merely by-product pulp industry. Abstract Pickering multiphase systems stabilized by solid particles have recently attracted increasing attention due to their excellent stability. Among various stabilizers, natural and renewable cellulosic micro/nanoparticles that are derived from agricultural forestry sources become promising candidates for stabilization unique morphological features tunable surface properties. In this review, recent progress on forming stabilizing using colloidal is summarized, including the physicochemical factors affecting assembly at interfaces preparation methods suitable producing emulsions. addition, relevant application prospects of corresponding materials outlined.
