Abstract Electromagnetic generators are conventionally used to harvest energy from large water bodies, but they ineffective for harvesting low hydro‐energy, such as raindrops or fogs, due their bulky, heavy and immovable. Unfortunately, developing new strategies that lightweight, small, have high conversion efficiency convert hydro‐energy into electricity remains a challenge. Herein, flexible droplet‐based hybrid generator (DHEG) consisting of (DEG) an electromagnetic (EMG) is proposed the dual droplets simultaneously. The DHEG assembled by facilely merging DEG EMG using conductive elastic multi‐walled carbon nanotubes/polydimethylsiloxane (MWCNTs/PDMS) film . MWCNTs/PDMS can not only serve bottom electrode switching on DEG, also component vibrate coil when impacted droplets. Activated single 58.2 µL droplet falling height 50 cm, peak voltage, current power generated ≈84.6 V, ≈19.85 mA, ≈595.8 µW, respectively. up ≈13.8%. This may provide promising strategy effectively raindrops.

We propose a serial-wedge-shaped groove with wettability gradient to achieve continuous directional transport of droplets. Molecular dynamics simulations demonstrate that this design provides sustained driving force and reduces energy barriers at junctions, facilitating droplet motion. Moreover, higher temperatures greater gradients are shown enhance the efficiency transport. Theoretical analysis further reveals increasing surface hydrophobicity, width ratio, size can reduce barriers, thereby improving performance. These findings expected improve understanding shed light on its manipulation.

Conventional magnetoelectric generators are regarded as effective devices for harvesting concentrated hydraulic power but ineffective dispersed hydropower (e.g., raindrops) due to their bulkiness and immobility. Here, we propose a superhydrophobic generator (MSMEG) based on an elastic magnetic film that can efficiently convert the energy of lightweight water droplets into electricity. The MSMEG consists five parts: material-based (SMMF), coil, NdFeB magnet, acrylic housing, expandable polystyrene (EPS) base. SMMF with coil deform/recover when impact/leave MSMEG, resulting in peak current, charge density, density ∼13.02 mA, ∼1826.5 mC/m2, ∼1413.0 mW/m2, respectively, load resistance 47 Ω. Related working mechanism is analyzed through Maxwell numerical simulation, which used further guidance increasing electrical output MSMEG. Furthermore, quickly commercial capacitor 2.7 V/1 F 1.18 V within 200 s diverse electronic light emitting diodes (LEDs), fans) constant excitation by droplets. We believe such expected provide promising strategy raindrop energy.

Oil leakage has become a global public environmental problem and caused serious harm to the environment. Inorganic nanofibers with high porosity, large specific surface area, excellent temperature resistance have wide application prospect in oil–water separation. In this study, we prepared mullite nanofiber (MNF) sponges for efficient separation using electrostatic-assisted solution blow spinning (E-SBS) characterized its morphology, structure, mechanics, thermal stability, The results show that MNF sponge ultralight weight (5.135 mg cm–3) (−196 1300 °C). Further, maintained 73% of initial stress after 100 compression cycles; it did not deform significantly high-temperature or liquid nitrogen treatment, showing mechanical properties. Most importantly, WD-10 modification, oil throughput ((oil-in-water flux >1600 L m–2 h–1), (oil–water mixture >7000 h–1)), efficiency (>98%), contact angle (>139°) 20 experiments.
