Abstract
Improving
the
compatibility
between
high
concentration
metallic
ions
and
zwitterions
to
controllable
construction
of
coordination
bonds
is
critical
extremely
challenging.
Here,
a
facile
effective
strategy
fabricate
multifunctional
hydrogels
by
randomly
copolymerizing
halometallate
ionic
liquids
(ILs)
through
electron
beam
irradiation
reported.
Introducing
metal
into
ILs
can
balance
charges
establish
moderate
stable
cross‐linked
networks
with
zwitterions.
The
synergistic
effect
multiple
interactions
varying
strengths
endows
hydrogel
outstanding
stretchability,
compressive
strength,
rapid
response,
advanced
self‐healing
ability,
excellent
frost
resistance.
sensor
assembled
from
timely,
accurately,
stably
monitor
human
movement,
write
anti‐counterfeiting
remotely
transmit
Morse
code
signals.
Multiple
sensors
are
also
flexible
array
track
tactile
trajectory
detect
spatial
distribution
force.
Moreover,
obtained
displays
temperature
sensitivity
resistance
coefficient
−3.85%
°C
−1
at
25–40
°C,
which
tiny
changes
(0.1
°C).
Interestingly,
processed
effectively
modulate
transmissivity

patterning.
Considering
structural
designability
ILs,
this
work
provides
new
insights
for
development
hydrogels.

Abstract
The
problem
of
microbial
resistance
to
antibiotics
makes
it
necessary
develop
new
materials
capable
overcoming
the
chemicals
currently
used.
Herein,
antibacterial
properties
modified
bamboo
powder
are
tested
and
compared
with
cellulose
isolated
from
soybean
hulls.
Such
biomasses
functionalized
in
a
water
solution
(3‐aminopropyl)triethoxysilane
introduce
primary
amino
groups,
two
different
functionalization
procedures
adopted:
first
requires
conventional
heating
steps,
whereas
second
implies
microwave
radiation
use.
main
outcomes
characterizations
evidence
that
prepared
thermal
treatment
stabler
than
those
obtained
by
microwave‐assisted
procedure
bamboo‐derived
samples
react
through
functionalities
other
hydroxyl
groups.
Finally,
activity
measured
against
Escherichia
coli
Staphylococcus
aureus
shows
all
could
efficiently
remove
Gram‐positive
Gram‐negative
bacteria
(removal
>
93%).
Moreover,
active
filters
realized
packing
material
powders:
when
bacterial
inoculum
passes
them
continuous
flow,
some
differences
observed
between
bamboo‐based
materials,
but
overall
performances
show
after
17
min
five
recirculation
cycles,
both
reach
an
excellent
removal
about
100%.
