Poisoning by organophosphate (OP) nerve agents remains a pressing global threat due to their extensive use in chemical warfare and pesticides, potentially causing high morbidity mortality worldwide. This urgent need for effective countermeasures has driven considerable interest innovative detoxification approaches. Among these, nanoparticle technology stands out its multifunctional potential wide-ranging applications. review highlights recent advancements platforms developed OP detoxification, focusing on five main types: inorganic nanoparticles, lipid-based polymer-based metal–organic framework cellular nanoparticles. For each platform, we discuss representative examples that illustrate how structural functional properties enhance effectiveness as nanocarriers, nanocatalysts, or nanoscavengers, ultimately enabling safe efficient detoxification. aims stimulate further technological innovation OP-detoxifying nanoparticles encourage broader development of strategies.
