An unprecedented porous organic framework, BSF-11, was prepared by the self-assembly of closo-dodecaborate [B12H12]2– and cationic 2,6-diaminopurine-Cu(II) complexes via multiple proton-hydride dihydrogen bonds. Single crystal structure analysis indicated that BSF-11 displays a 1D channel with narrow bottleneck (2.79 Å) large cavity (7.12 Å). The intrinsic porosity preserved after thermal activation in vacuum; showed pore opening adsorption C2H2 C3H4 while excluding other light hydrocarbons CO2 under ambient conditions, resulting high uptake ratios C2H2/CH4 (24.9), C2H2/C2H4 (8.1), C2H2/CO2 (2.3), C3H4/C3H6 (19.7) at 1 bar. different CO2, C2H2, affinities were further investigated GCMC DFT modeling. calculated binding energy trend is consistent observed experiments.

Abstract Noble gas xenon (Xe) is an excellent anesthetic gas, but its rarity, high cost and constrained production prohibits wide use in medicine. Here, we have developed a closed‐circuit Xe recovery reusage process with highly effective CO 2 ‐specific adsorbent CUPMOF‐5 that promising to solve the supply problem. possesses spacious cage cavities interconnected four directions by confinement throat apertures of ~3.4 Å, which makes it ideal molecular sieving from Xe, O , N benchmark selectivity uptake capacity . In situ single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction (SCXRD) computational simulation solidly revealed vital role confined sorbent‐sorbate induced‐fit strengthening binding interaction can remove 5 % even actual moist exhaled gases, achieves highest rate (99.8 %) so far, as verified breakthrough experiments. This endows great potential for on‐line removal closed‐circuits.
