Nanoparticles (NPs) administered into the human body are spontaneously modified by forming a protein corona, which is crucial for their biological activity. While NP-based photothermal therapy an established noninvasive modality tumor ablation, impact of light irradiation on corona formation and clinical outcomes unclear. This study unveils promotive role in cancer cell uptake gold nanoparticles (GNPs) modulating GNP-protein protein-protein interactions within corona. Specifically, infrared increases local temperature around GNPs to induce partial unfolding proteins, increasing availability binding sites enhancing adsorption. Additionally, intensifies competition among different proteins adsorption, resulting 25% increase abundance higher molecular weight such as serum albumin (HSA), GNP surface after irradiation. Notably, with positively charged surfaces, compared other modifications, exhibit more significant changes due stronger electrostatic (1.32 ± 0.17 × 103 kJ/mol). These variations amount, structure, composition associated result 14.26% cells, likely modifications at GNP-cell membrane interface. Our findings highlight critical influencing dynamics cellular interactions, suggesting its potential valuable engineering tool nanomedicine.
