Annealing improves the switching and synaptic performance of ITO/WOx/CuOx/ITO transparent devices. The device has low SET RESET voltages, stable robust AC endurance up to 106 cycles, can retain states for more than 104 s. demonstrates capabilities by emulating neural functions under both electrical light stimuli. behaviors including long-term potentiation/depression, paired-pulse facilitation, spike-timing-dependent plasticity, fully tunable relaxation time short-term memory, mimicking temporal dynamics biological neuron, are declared. A convolutional network operation is conducted exploiting device. high accuracy 96.67% with noise tolerance (close an ideal synapse) be achieved. Material analyses conducted, switching/synaptic mechanisms proposed explain such phenomena.
