Solar-driven water evaporation (SDWE) has unique advantages, such as no additional energy consumption and low cost, is a promising technology for obtaining fresh from seawater wastewater. Much research devoted to gaining high rate ignoring the final yield. Many innovative devices collection strategies aiming gain yield have been reported; however, an in-depth discussion of SDWE still missing. In this review, we summarize some typical systems, which are categorized condensation design, steam directional migration, recovered latent heat. The advantages improvements these specifically discussed. Finally, challenges technical requirements future systems briefly summarized, hoping provide thoughts tips scholars who new field avoid in favor rate.
