Abstract Extending the layer spacing of (001) planes to regulate mobility Zn 2+ is widely adopted optimize performance VOPO 4 ·2H 2 O cathode for zinc‐ion batteries. However, unique function originating from other often neglected. Herein, an effective in situ conversion methodology proposed synthesis (200) oriented growth vertical nanosheets with oxygen vacancies (V Od ‐VOPO ). Theoretical simulation and ex characterizations collaboratively demonstrate that richly exposed plane tetragonal channels can offer quick pathways in‐layer cross‐layer migration , exhibiting enhanced transfer kinetics improved reversible capacity. Meanwhile, efficient electron V guaranteed by introduction vacancies. Thus, as‐prepared harvests exceptional discharge capacity, impressive rate capability, remarkable long‐cycle stability at high mass loading. Notably, electrode (15 mg cm −2 ) provides a capacity 213.5 mAh g −1 ultrahigh areal 3.02 0.1 A showing great potential applications. This study highlights orientated strategy facilitating ion storage migration, offering novel perspectives on development high‐performance electrodes beyond.
