Abnormal valve positions can lead to fluctuations in the process industry, potentially triggering serious accidents. For processes that frequently require operational switching, such as green chemical based on renewable energy or biotechnological fermentation processes, this issue becomes even more severe. Despite risk, many plants still rely manual inspections check status. The widespread use of cameras large now makes it feasible monitor through computer vision technology. This paper proposes a novel real-time monitoring approach detect abnormalities positions. Utilizing an improved network architecture YOLO V8, method performs detection and feature recognition. To address challenge small, relatively fixed-position valves images, coord attention module is introduced, embedding position information into channels enhancing accuracy rotation extraction. then calculated using algorithm with valve's center point bounding box coordinates, alarm for exceed pre-set threshold. generalization ability proposed are evaluated experiments three different types two industrial scenarios. results demonstrate meets robustness standards required applications.

Abstract Process safety management (PSM) in the transition toward sustainability has garnered increasing attention emerging era of Industry 5.0 (I5.0). This study provides an inclusive proposal for a sustainable process 4.0 (SPSM 4.0) framework, concentrating on its evolution, drivers, and comprehensive framework highlighting structures applications. The core values I5.0 (sustainability, human‐centricity, resilience) advanced technologies like artificial intelligence (AI), industrial Internet things (IIoT), cyber‐physical systems (CPS) are integrated with PSM system. SPSM aims to alter ecosystem through applications digital transformations at workplace by ensuring safety, well‐being employees assets while leveraging socioeconomic environmental concerns improved efficiency. proposed bridges gap between sustainability, which serves as foundation stone future guidelines targeted practitioners, policymakers, academicians. In addition, proposes umbrella paradigm integrating pillars landscape. Concluding, research focuses critical discussion decision support system operationalizing suggesting takeaways managers researchers.
