Abstract Cognitive complaints are common in elderly subjects and a frequent reason for referral to memory clinics. If the not associated with objective cognitive impairment, condition is labelled subjective decline (SCD). SCD often considered as stage antedating an at‐risk subsequent dementia. Recent large‐scale studies indicate that significantly increased risk of clinical progression positivity Alzheimer's disease (AD) biomarkers, finding supporting notion can be due different mechanisms neurodegeneration, including functional disorders. In this paper we present selective review research on relations among SCD, awareness, metacognitive abilities. We propose longitudinal efficiency may provide useful cues about dementia possible presence disorder, implications management prevalent aging‐related condition. Highlights Subjective (SCD), cause clinics, multiple conditions. The predictive value high association AD biomarker positivity. awareness mechanism responsible emergence metacognition underlying neuropsychological function. patients usually assessed comparing informant rating patient self‐assessment, method affected by bias. While there strong evidence starts onset progressively leading anosognosia AD, status needs further investigated. Quantitative, performance‐based indexes contribute both assessment

Purpose Subjective cognitive decline (SCD) is an early manifestation of the Alzheimer’s disease (AD) continuum, and accurately diagnosing SCD to differentiate it from neurotypical aging in older adults a common challenge for researchers. Methods This review examines summarizes relevant studies regarding neuroimaging AD comprehensively outlines clinical features characterizing along with corresponding changes involving structural, functional, metabolic networks. Results The characteristics include subjective self-perceived function, there are significant imaging changes, such as reductions gray matter volume certain brain regions, abnormalities integrity white tracts diffusion metrics, alterations functional connectivity between different sub-networks or within networks, well networks cerebral blood flow perfusion. Conclusion 147 referenced this paper indicate that exploring network related through aims enhance goals mission science development programs: “Understanding Brain,” “Protecting “Creating thereby strengthening researchers’ investigation into mechanisms function. Early diagnosis SCD, prompt intervention, can reduce incidence spectrum while improving patients’ quality life, even integrating numerous scientific research achievements unified established standards applying them practice by doctors, thus all encouraging researchers further investigate issues adults.

Background: Healthy cognitive functioning is a primary component of well-being, independence, and successful aging. Cognitive deficits can arise from various conditions, such as brain injury, mental illness, neurological disorders. Rehabilitation highly specialized service limited to patients who have access institutional settings. In response this unmet need, telehealth solutions are ideal for triggering the migration care clinics patients’ homes. Objectives: The aim EARLY-COGN^3 will be threefold: (1) test efficacy digital health at-home intervention (tele@cognitive protocol) compared an unstructured rehabilitation in cohort with Chronic Neurological Diseases (CNDs); (2) investigate its effects on biomolecular neurophysiological marker hypothesizing that people CNDs enrolled telerehabilitation program develop changes biological markers cortical subcortical patterns connectivity; (3) analyze potential cognitive, neurobiological, predictors tele@cognitive treatment. Method: single-blind, randomized, controlled pilot study, we assess short- long-term protocol (tele@cognitive) (Active Control Group—ACG) 60 Mild Impairment (MCI), Subjective Complaints (SCCs), or Parkinson’s Disease (PD). All participants undergo clinical, functional, neurocognitive, quality life assessment at baseline (T0), post-treatment (5 weeks, T1), 3-month (T2) follow-up. Neurophysiological data collected T0 T1. Conclusions: project could lead complete paradigm shift traditional therapeutic approach, forcing reassessment how take advantage solution. (clinicaltrials.gov database, ID: NCT06657274)

Background: Current research on Alzheimer’s Disease has progressively focused Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI) as a pre-dementia state, well Subjective Memory Complaint (SMC), potential early indicator of cognitive change. Consequently, timely interventions to prevent decline are essential and most effective when combined with motor training. Nevertheless, motor-cognitive dual-task training often employs non-ecological tasks is confined clinical contexts lacking generalizability daily life. The integration 360° media could overcome these limitations. Therefore, the aim current work twofold: (a) present using technology for its interactivity, versatility, ecological validity, (b) propose protocol test efficacy through randomized trial. Methods: This study will recruit 90 older adults (MCI SMC). Participants follow two phases training: in-hospital rehabilitation at-home rehabilitation. experimental design 2 × 3 structure factors: type treatment (360° vs. traditional rehabilitation), time (baseline, post training, training), group (SMC MCI). Results: expected outcome an improvement in functioning after Conclusion: advance literature non-pharmacological innovative technological tools trainings stages decline.
