A salt-resistant solar evaporator featuring capillary action enabled by loading organic photothermal materials onto a biomass substrate is designed and prepared. The resulting exhibits high solar-to-vapor efficiency efficient persistent water evaporation without salt accumulation.

Boraphenalenes, compounds in which one carbon atom the phenalenyl skeleton is replaced with a boron atom, have attracted attention for their solid-state and electronic structures; however, construction of boraphenalene skeletons remains challenging because lack suitable methods. Through this study, we showed that tandem borylative cyclization C3-symmetric dehydrobenzo[12]annulenes produces new class fully fused boron-atom-embedded polycyclic hydrocarbons possessing 9b-boraphenalene skeleton. The obtained exhibited high electron-accepting characteristics, two-step redox process was reversible reductive region, involving interconversion between Hückel aromaticity antiaromaticity. Notably, benzo[b]fluorene-fused derivative stepwise single-crystal-to-single-crystal (SCSC) phase transition triggered by thermal annealing. Intermolecular electron coupling calculation crystal structures suggested significant improvement charge transporting ability associated SCSC transition. Moreover, adequate photoconductivity observed single crystals before after through flash photolysis-time-resolved microwave conductivity.

Herein, we report the syntheses and electronic structures of crystalline dianionic as well neutral diboron-centered classical diradicaloids boron analogues Thiele, Chichibabin, Müller (this only for diradicaloids!) hydrocarbons. These are based on borane radical anion NHC-stabilized boryl spin carriers, respectively. All these exhibit triplet population at room temperature regardless π-conjugated spacer: p-phenylene, p,p′-biphenylene, or p,p″-terphenylene. In case diradicaloids, employed spacer plays a crucial role temperature: EPR inactive p-phenylene vs active p,p′-biphenylene. The findings emphasize importance carriers resulting ground-state: along with pivotal spin-coupler between two spins. Notably, 100 years (a century) after first by Krause triphenyl radical-anion, being isoelectronic to triphenylmethyl radical, convey anion-based diradicaloids. Abstract Organic radicals exhibit great potential in photothermal applications, however, their innate high reactivity with oxygen renders the preparation of stable organic highly challenging. In this work, a series co‐doped radical polymers ares prepared by doping dihydrophenazine derivatives (DPPs) into epoxy resin matrix. DPPs can form species through electron transfer process, which are further stabilized complex 3D network structure resin. Experimental results show that conversion efficiency is as 79.9%, and temperature quickly rise to ≈130 °C within 60 s. Due excellent visible light transmittance mechanical properties systems, study demonstrates practical applications energy‐saving solar windows thermoelectric power generation.

n-Type organic conductive molecules play a significant role in electronics. Self-doping can increase the carrier concentration within materials to improve conductivity without need for additional intentional dopants. This review focuses on various strategies employed synthesis of self-doped n-type molecules, and provides an overview doping mechanisms. By elucidating these mechanisms, aims establish relationship between molecular structure electronic properties. Furthermore, outlines current applications field electronics, highlighting their performance potential devices. It also offers insights into future development materials.
