This review comprehensively covers recent developments of cyclodextrin-mediated chemical transformations for green chemistry. These cyclic oligomers glucose are nontoxic, eco-friendly, and recyclable to accomplish eminent functions in water. Their most important feature is form inclusion complexes with reactants, intermediates, and/or catalysts. As a result, their cavities serve as sterically restricted apolar reaction fields promote the efficiency selectivity reactions. Furthermore, unstable reagents intermediates protected from undesired side The scope applications has been further widened through covalent or noncovalent modifications. Combinations them metal catalysis especially successful. In terms these effects, various reactions achieved high yield so that valuable chemicals synthesized multiple components one-pot cyclodextrin units orderly assembled polymers show cooperation advanced properties. Recently, cyclodextrin-based metal–organic frameworks polyoxometalate–cyclodextrin have fabricated employed unique applications. Cyclodextrins fulfill many requirements chemistry should make enormous contributions this growing field.

Developing artificial enzymes based on organic molecules or polymers for reactive oxygen biocatalysis has broad applicability. Here, inspired by heme-based enzyme systems, we construct the abiological iron group metal-based polyporphyrin (Ru/Os-coordinated porphyrin-based biocatalyst, Ru/Os-PorBC) to serve as a new generation of efficient and versatile species (ROS)-related biocatalyst. Due structural benefits, including excellent electron configuration, appropriate bandgap, optimized adsorption activation reaction intermediates, Ru/Os-PorBC shows unparalleled ROS-production activities regarding maximum rate turnover numbers, which also demonstrates superior pH temperature adaptability compared natural enzymes. Impressively, Os-PorBC manifests most efficacious capabilities, surpassing not only Ru/Fe-PorBC but existing state-of-the-art ROS-related Our findings provide pivotal direction developing next-generation polyporphyrin-based biocatalysts, setting stage era upgrading metalloenzymes metals.

The immobilization of catalase (CAT), a crucial oxidoreductase enzyme involved in quenching reactive oxygen species, on colloids and nanoparticles presents promising strategy to improve dispersion storage stability while maintaining its activity. Here, the CAT onto polymeric (positively (AL) or negatively (SL) charged) was implemented directly via surface functionalization with water-soluble chitosan derivatives (glycol (GC) methyl glycol (MGC)). interfacial properties were optimized obtain highly stable AL-CAT, SL-GC-CAT, SL-MGC-CAT dispersions, confocal microscopy confirmed presence composites. Assessment hydrogen peroxide decomposition ability revealed that applying process not only enhanced colloidal but also augmented activity reusability CAT. In particular, use MGC has led significant advances, indicating potential for industrial biomedical applications.
