ABSTRACT A salamo‐type bis‐oxime ligand H 2 L was synthesized, which reacted with Ni (NO 3 ) ·6H O in different reaction solvents to synthesize two novel heptanuclear (II) complexes: [Ni 7 (L) ( μ ‐OH) 8 (EtOH) 6 ]·2CH Cl 1 and ‐OMe) (MeOH) ]·CH ). X‐ray crystal diffraction results showed that each ion exhibits a distorted octahedral geometry. ABSTRACT A novel mononuclear Cr(III) coordination compound, [Cr(HL)(N 3 ) 2 ], was synthesized by the reaction of CrCl ·6H O and NaN with Schiff base ligand (H L‐Cl). A series of polynuclear, dinuclear, and mononuclear Mo(VI) complexes were synthesized with the hydrazonato ligands derived from 5-methoxysalicylaldehyde corresponding hydrazides (isonicotinic hydrazide (H2L1), nicotinic (H2L2), 2-aminobenzhydrazide (H2L3), or 4-aminobenzhydrazide (H2L4)). The metallosupramolecular compounds obtained non-coordinating solvents, [MoO2(L1,2)]n (1 2) [MoO2(L3,4)]2 (3 4), formed infinite structures metallacycles, respectively. By blocking two coordination sites cis-dioxo ligands, molybdenum centers have three occupied by ONO donor atoms rigid hydrazone one N atom pyridyl amine-functionalized ligand subcomponents neighboring Mo building units. reaction in methanol afforded analogs [MoO2(L1-4)(MeOH)] (1a-4a) additional monodentate MeOH ligands. All isolated tested as catalysts for cyclooctene epoxidation using tert-butyl hydroperoxide (TBHP) an oxidant water. impact structure lability on catalytic efficiency homogeneous was elucidated based theoretical considerations. Thus, dinuclear assemblies exhibited better activity than polynuclear complexes.
