Background This study aims to explore the effects of physical activity on adolescents' social skills and antisocial behavior, as well gender only child status differences among Chinese adolescents. Methods We used longitudinal data, collecting baseline data for 2021–2022 follow-up in 2022–2023. A total 3,206 students were enrolled, including 1,510 males (Age ± SE: 13.62 1.69) 1,696 females 14.09 1.85), 1,339 children 13.76 1.95), 1,867 non-only 13.95 1.66).
