Abstract An easy-to-synthesize Schiff base HNSA was obtained by condensing equimolar amount of 3-hydroxy-2-naphthohydrazide and salicylaldehyde. In pure DMSO, is non-fluorescent, but increasing the HEPES (10 mM, pH 7.4) fraction (fHEPES) ≥ 90%, it showed a strong green fluorescent with maximum fluorescence intensity at 515 nm. The changes in behavior due to formation sheet-like self-aggregates HNSA. aggregates were found be emissive over wide range between 2.20 7.50. Further, metal ion sensing ability aggregation-induced emission luminogen (AIEgen) performed fHEPES 95%. Addition Co2+, Ni2+, Cu2+ Fe2+ ions shows decrease AIEgen an estimated detection limit 0.43 µM, 0.48 6.26 6.74 respectively. coated paper strips developed visually detect these ions. Also, successfully utilized qualitatively chickpea lima bean sprouts. addition, used prepare gelatin gel invisible ink write on filter transfer confidential information. probe employed for real environmental water samples.

ABSTRACT Vanillin and ortho ‐vanillin are the most important flavoring additives used in food industry at a large scale. Herein, aggregation‐induced emission (AIE) behavior of commercially available 3‐hydroxy‐2‐naphthohydrazide (3HN) was explored applied for detection vanillin ‐vanillin. The weakly fluorescent 3HN DMSO showed fluorescence enhancement 500 nm with increase HEPES or PBS buffer (pH 7.4) fractions DMSO. containing 30% is as Probe 1 selective new 415 without altering probe nm. With high specificity, can detect down to 0.3 μM. In contrast, 20% 2 turn‐off vanillin. green selectively quenched by limit 0.8 Finally, analytical novelty developed probes examined quantifying spiked samples good recovery percentages.
