Abstract Edible Astraeus mushrooms are known for their nutritional and culinary benefits potential therapeutic properties. However, more investigation discussion still needed to understand mechanisms of action regarding observed biological activities thorough chemical analysis bioactive compounds. This review provides a comprehensive summary the properties mode extracts isolated It covers reported antioxidant, anti‐inflammatory, antidiabetic, anticancer, anti‐tuberculosis, antimalarial, antiviral antileishmanial activities, as well on metabolic cardiovascular health immune function. The highlights significance compounds, such sugar alcohols, polysaccharides, steroids, lanostane triterpenoids. Moreover, identifies under‐researched areas, species, which holds immense research potential. Ultimately, aims inspire further nutraceuticals or therapeutics these mushrooms.
