This study aims to assess the histological and biochemical effects of ibuprofen on submandibular salivary gland in rats. The provides detailed data ibuprofen's impact oxidative stress levels structural changes gland. A total 15 male rats were used, divided into three groups: control group, left untreated; first which received a moderate dose (200 mg/kg/day); second higher (400 mg/kg/day). Ibuprofen was administered orally for 3 weeks. results showed that group at 400 mg/kg exhibited apoptosis necrosis granular convoluted tubule cells degeneration striated duct with sloughing. analysis indicated significant increase caspase-3 concentration compared (0.398 ± 0.001). Additionally, this high-dose marked decrease antioxidant capacity (TAC) (30.1 1.1) indicating high negatively affects system’s capacity. In conclusion, doses may cause damage tissue body's system, as well programmed cell death, raising likelihood cellular damage. It is important be careful when taking amounts long time period because it can health problems related digestive system risk patients. Therefore using other treatments alongside might reduce any tissues.
